Lyon has been appointed Jury Chairman for the Syngenta Open Photography Award and Jury member and lead adviser to Syngenta CEO, Mike Mack, and his team for the Syngenta Photography Commission 2012. This prestigious new prize focuses on key global challenges and endeavours to build a significant dialogue on the pressing issues of our time. The commission will award a $40k budget to the winner to produce a new body of work that will be exhibited globally. The first cycle of the award is themed by Rural/Urban in line with much of Lyon’s most recent work that explores the urban edge and the hinterlands of the megacity. October also saw a set of EXODUS images exhibited at the Fotofever art fair in Brussels by the Paris based contemporary art gallery Inception.
